LifeScience Alley (formerly Medical Alley/MNBIO) is a Minnesota based, non-profit trade association dedicated to enabling business success in the Life Science industry. They have over 600 member organizations, and provide access to industry leaders, education, networking opportunities, insights into current trends, regulations, research, and emerging technologies.

The University of Manitoba

The UofM is a leader in Manitoban education, research, and supporting the start-up industry. Over the past decade the UofM has launched 15 start-up companies and conducted extensive research in the fields of plant sciences, dentistry, engineering, medicine, physical science and computer science.

Founded in 1879, Aikins, MacAulay & Thorvaldson Tekno are Manitoba’s oldest law firm. They offer BCC member companies expertise in technology, privacy and intellectual property law.

National Research Council Institute for Biodiagnostics

This NRC-IBD exists to change the course and impact of disease by developing non-invasive medical devices and technologies for early and accurate diagnosis of conditions like cancer, stroke and cardiovascular disease. Their approach attracts medical researchers and business partners from across the world, while also stimulating the local and national economy.

BCC is located adjacent to the NRC-IBD in Winnipeg Manitoba, at the Centre for the Commercialization of Biomedical Technology.

TR Labs

TR Labs create innovative technologies and train students to enhance ICT (information and communication technologies) expertise, improving Canada’s global competitiveness. They focus on seven areas: data networking, digital media, home technologies, network access, network systems, photonics and wireless communications.

Robert Werbowesky, Technical Research Analyst - NRC Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (NRC-CISTI)

The CISTI provides competitive technical intelligence (CTI) to BCC member companies. CTI aids with more effective decisions and better actions in funding R&D projects for technology transfer and commercialization activities.
CTI experts locate relevant scientific or technical information, then distil, analyze and apply this information against threats, opportunities or developments that may affect business decisions.
