A lifelong citizen of Winnipeg, John Bulman, C.M., LL.D., is well-recognized across Canada for his leadership, his focus on progress and unwavering commitment to community development. The retired past-chairman and president of The Bulman Group Limited, John continues to be actively involved in the business community. He is the chairman and a director of the Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company and a member of the Manitoba Securities Commission.
 Sandra MacPhee
Partner, Global Consulting Services, IBM Sandra graduated in 1984 with a B.B.A., major in marketing, from St. Francis Xavier University and then went on to join IBM Canada. Sandra's career has provided a breadth of roles ranging from sales and marketing to brand and channels management to Vice President of Marketing. This has provided Sandra with the opportunity to live in Halifax, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Toronto. She participates on multiple boards, chaired the IBM Women's Council and is an active mentor/coach.
 Wilson Parasiuk
President, Paralink Management Limited Wilson has a Master of Arts degrees from both the University of Manitoba and the University of Oxford, which he attended as a Rhodes Scholar. Mr. Parasiuk is President of Paralink Management Ltd., which organizes private sector/public sector partnerships in the export of Canada's health care, education, energy and general management expertise. Previous to Paralink, Mr. Parasiuk most recently served as President and CEO, and Deputy Chairman of Interhealth Canada Limited, a private international healthcare management company. Other accomplishments include Chairman of the British Columbia International Power Group, Chairman and CEO of the British Columbia Trade Development Corporation, and President of Vancity Enterprises. Mr. Parasiuk has also been, or is, a director of various private, non-profit and public entities including Interhealth Canada Limited, the Quorum group of venture capital companies, the Public Policy Forum, the Prime Minister's Advisory Committee on Government Restructuring, and Member, Senior Advisory Committee on Governance Innovations (for a group of Asian nations).
 Don Gerhardt
President and CEO, LifeScience Alley Prior to joining LifeScience Alley, Don was involved in the health care industry serving in top-level positions including: CEO of MedCenters Health Plan, administrator of Michigan State University medical facilities, Kaiser Permanente, a consultant for health care start-up companies and business coalitions, an officer for a high tech health care data company, and with several international health care businesses. He sits on the board for two medical technology companies. He is a frequent speaker and contributing writer to health care related articles and books. His education includes Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a Masters degree in Health Administration from the University of Colorado, and postgraduate study in finance and statistics from Ohio State University. He is a faculty member at the University of St. Thomas, and sits on the Advisory Boards of the University of Minnesota's Biomedical Engineering Institute, the College of Pharmacy, the Institute of Technology, and the Greater Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Association.

Barakat has served as President and CEO of InfoMagnetics Technologies Corporation (IMT) of Winnipeg, Manitoba since 1992. Dr. Barakat received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering ten years earlier, at the University of Manitoba and continues his affiliation with the university as Adjunct Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Headed by Dr. Barakat, IMT provides complete information management solutions to clients in the areas of telecommunications and information systems. IMT consists of two core business units, each with their own distinctive area of expertise - the Information Systems Group and the Antennas & Electromagnetics (ANTEM) Group.
