Health Media Network Inc. (HMN) develops, designs, and delivers, digital information into healthcare facilities via a real-time virtual private network. HMN’s flat-panel screens receive the information and display it to viewers in the common and waiting areas of healthcare facilities. The digital health media network delivers a blend of three categories of information: (1) Health and Wellness information; (2) Hospital Content; and (3) Advertising Content.

Advantages to Public Health and Wellness

The idea was born when HMN’s founder visited an emergency room and stared at the weather channel on the TV for four hours. HMN’s founder realized that if the TV could be used to deliver real-time information at a point of care on issues such as how to manage diabetes, or ways to reduce cholesterol, the TV could become a powerful tool to distribute meaningful health and wellness information to people.

Advantages to Hospitals

HMN provides the healthcare facility time on the network to communicate any information they wish to deliver. For example, information on the services available in the facility, current events, or messages from a charitable foundation can all be displayed.

Advantages to Advertisers

HMN provides advertisers an effective tool to communicate with multiple market segments in hospitals:

  1. Hospital wait times in Canada range from two hours to more than eight hours. Advertisers can use this wait room time to speak to a captive audience.
  2. Doctors and other professionals with high levels of discretionary income will see the broadcast in cafeterias and other public areas.
