About BCC
Biomedical Commercialization Canada Inc. is a private sector, not-for-profit business incubation program for entrepreneurs, start-ups, or businesses in the science and technology industry. BCC receives financial support from the National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) as well as the Province of Manitoba to provide business incubation services.
Our Mission
To accelerate science and technology commercialization.
Our Business Incubation Program
Established in 2005, BCC provides business mentoring, coaching, active participation, networking, infrastructure, finance and investment services. Our incubation program has the goal of helping our member companies enter the market, secure investment, or get acquired.
By providing a customized incubation program with a low-impact fee structure, BCC makes it possible for member companies to achieve greater success than they could on their own.
Success of Business Incubators
BCC member companies have a much higher chance at success. Studies show that completion of a business incubation program greatly increases the likelihood that a start-up company will stay in business for the long term: Historically, 87% of incubator graduates stay in business.
Successful graduates of the BCC business incubation program will also have a positive impact on the community. They commercialize new technologies, thus strengthening local, regional, and even national economies.
Location
BCC is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba on the 5th floor at 321 McDermot Avenue.
